A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Broadway and 17th Street is making lunch-time traffic more chaotic for motorists.
Shortly after noon on Monday, a sports utility vehicle collided with a pickup. Scottsbluff Police Captain Brian Wasson says that the SUV, driven by 73-year-old Gerald Nash was traveling northbound on Broadway in the far right lane. Nash tried to make a left onto 17th Street, and caused 20-year old Christopher Overmier, who traveling northbound on the interior lane, to strike the driver's side door.
Nash suffered a minor head injury, but was treated on-site. He was ticketed for an improper turn as well.
The accident closed the 1700 block of Broadway to be closed to traffic.
