Local high-schoolers try to find the "recipe for leadership"

Posted: Updated:

High Schoolers from around the Panhandle get together to figure out the "recipe for leadership."

All high–schoolers are part of the FCCLA  or the Family Career and Community Leaders of America Foundation.

To fulfill the recipe theme, Culinary Arts Teacher Chuck Stober talked to the group about his profession.

Both students and teachers know the importance of the foundation.

"I have been in FCCLA since I was a freshman, so I was an FCCLA state officer last year actually, so I've gained a lot of leadership and communication skills through FCCLA that will hopefully help me in the future."

"I just see a lot of passion about food and cooking and I think this is a passion driven industry more than anything and there is a lot of artistry and there's just a lot of creativity and it's not you're regular 8–5 job.

The group is designed to give students leadership skills and help jumpstart their future career goals.
