A plan for a new choice high school is in the beginning stages.
Cindy Rue is the new school's coordinator and will create a curriculum and ideas for the new school.
The school will be for Scottsbluff students who struggle in a traditional classroom setting, or for those who aren't being challenged in the classroom.
Rue says the schools will be career concentrated as well as a mentor oriented for a good reason.
"Being able to explore various careers and a purpose, being able to create that culture that says that you do have a purpose, and it's out there for you - it's whatever you want."
Rue says she's in the early stages of planning, but hopes by fall 2013, the inaugural class will begin.
