Two KOTA Territory organizations received $10,000 in grants today.
Team Auto Center presented checks worth five thousand dollars to both 'Keep Scottsbluff- Gering Beautiful' and Platte River Basin Environments.
"Team" General Manager Kent Holub says both groups focus on making our environment better.
Keep Scottsbluff Gering Beautiful's Director says the grant will help fund operations after recent budget cuts... and events like the pharmaceutical take- back can continue.
"It's hard to change after all of these years," says Kathy Kropeunski, "And it costs money to dispose of those things properly."
Platte River Basin Environments is working to develop more hiking trails in the Wildcat Hills, and that can't be done without grants like this.
"It's not something that can be done overnight," says Bob Smith, "There's a lot of science that goes into it, and we've got a lot of people working on this project...it just takes a lot of time."
Chevrolet matched Team Auto Center's donations... Meaning each entity put up five-thousand dollars for these two local groups.
