Today's temps were too cool for an outdoor excursion so locals went on a safari of sorts indoors.
The Wildlife World Museum in Gering held its last open house today.
The museum features mounted and staged animals from across the world including lions, Tigers, And bear.
The current building that houses the collection is closing so the animals will move to a new building in the Riverside Discovery Center.
Part of the collection will be auctioned to pay for the building.
Board President Jamie Winters estimates that only about one–third of the collection has been on display at one time.
