Nebraska kids may see new curriculum in they're Social Studies classes.
The Nebraska Department of Education is looking for input on revised Social Studies standards for public schools.
The department presented its draft standards and began an online survey today, the survey will remain accessible until November 28th.
Matt Parsley, a Social Studies teacher at Scottsbluff High School says they need new standards in Nebraska.
"Some of the standards actually have Virginia local history that didn't really apply to Nebraska, so there was needs to devise standards that were more appropriate for our state."
