Gering schools are taking their first step to find a new Superintendent, a community meeting.
Gering School District students, administration and staff, told a consultant helping with the search what they were looking for in a potential Superintendent candidate.
The community had one thing in common, they all wanted the new Superintendent to improve the curriculum and get better results in assessments.
The crowd also discussed the need for improving technology.
"The visits that we conduct with the staff and the community is a great opportunity for them to have an input, a voice in the process."
The school district currently has four potential candidates.
