Scottsbluff students may soon see some healthier options on their lunch trays.
Scottsbluff High School has begun phasing in healthier options for lunches, ever since first lady Michelle Obama's nutrition overhaul of school meals.
The new rules require meals to have less sodium, more whole grains and more fruits and vegetables.
Scottsbluff High School's Cafeteria Supervisor Peggy Sittner says they're offering more fruits and vegetables than normal.
"We have raspberries, blueberries. On our fruit and vegetable program we do at the four elementary schools we have star fruit and strawberries of course."
Sittner says the students are reacting well and seem to pick the healthier options.
