The Nebraska Public Power District joins in on the Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts.

The Nebraska Public Power District is sending out 16 line technicians to help restore electricity in areas left powerless by sandy.

The workers were dispatched this morning and are headed to West Virginia.

They'll be helping the Appalachian Power Company's workers.

More than 150,000 Appalachian Power customers reported not having power because of the blizzards and heavy snow from the super storm.

The N.P.P.D workers will stay in West Virginia through November seventh but may stay longer if they're needed.
