Halloween proves to be a safe night

Posted: Updated:

The goblins and the ghouls were out last night, while the criminals likely stayed in.

Last night was a quiet one for Scottsbluff Police.

Chief of Police Kevin Spencer says officers only had to respond to one noise violation call.

Spencer says families were able to get all their trick or treating done without any disturbances.

"We had plenty of guys on the street last night to address any problems that might of arose and we really didn't have a problem. It was a normal quiet Wednesday night."

Spencer also says that a quiet night could be attributed to Halloween falling on a Wednesday.
