Salvation Army bell ringers looking for volunteers

Posted: Updated:

Now that Halloween is over, some people in KOTA Territory are keeping Christmas in mind.

The Salvation Army and their bell ringing campaign gear up for the holiday season.

The annual drive will begin Thanksgiving night and run until Christmas.

Nearly 90 percent of proceeds go directly back to Scotts Bluff County.

The program raised more than 27,000 dollars last year.

Program designers say they're hopeful for another successful year.

"I've had drive-by's where people will drive by and roll their window down and hand money out there so it's a great experience and I'll guarantee anybody it you ring once, you're hooked. It's a great way to give back to the community."

The program is seeking volunteers.
