California man accused of shooting and killing Sidney man

A California man accused of second degree murder will appear in court this week.

Jason Custer is being held in Cheyenne County on a one million dollar bond.

Western Nebraska authorities believe two men were arguing about drug money early Saturday morning, when Jason Custer shot Adam McCormick in Sidney.

Officers found Adam McCormick lying in the driveway of a Sidney home Saturday morning with bullet wounds in his abdomen and leg, he died shortly after at the hospital.

Custer was arrested at a big springs motel Saturday morning.

Two others were arrested for helping him escape.
