It has taken four months, some traffic disruptions, and a few speed bumps along the way, but construction on 27th Street in Scottsbluff is about to conclude.
Public Works Director Mark Bohl says crews will finish the project this week.
Today final pavement markings were being sprayed onto the freshly paved surface. And later this week, about 30 manhole covers need to be raised.
During last night's city council meeting, Mayor Randy Meininger commended Bohl for his diligence and keeping the project moving.
A similar project is slated for Broadway in Scottsbluff beginning next spring.
