Western Nebraska Regional Airport possibly in line for federal grant

West Nebraska Regional Airport could get some money to use for various projects if it manages to meet a required quota.

Scottsbluff's closest airport would receive a federal grant if at least 10,000 passengers come through the airport in 2012.

The grant is being offered as a way to promote air traffic at regional airports.

Airport officials say the holiday season could help them meet the quota, unless of course the weather is bad.
