The U.S. Forest Service eases the fire restrictions in the Panhandle.
A Summer full of wildfires burned large sections of the Nebraska Sandhills.
But the Forest Service says the fire danger has been reduced with our shorter days and cool weather.
Visitors on federal land can have campfires again as long as they're using developed campgrounds or improved sites.
Smoking is only allowed inside a car or building or in areas clear of flammable vegetation.
