Mountain Lion shot in Nebraska

Posted: Updated:

A hunter on the lookout for deer in North Central Nebraska kills a different type of game.

The man shot a 150 pound Mountain Lion when it circled in front of him while he was deer hunting.

The incident happened in Brown County Saturday on the opening day of the November Firearm Deer Season.

The man says the lion made eye contact and circled around him before he fired.

Nebraska law says you can kill a Mountain Lion without a permit if it stalks or attacks.

The investigation concludes the hunter was justified in killing the animal.
