Dozens of teachers from across their state voice their input on changes to Nebraska's social studies standards.
The State Board of Education is hosting public meetings so that instructors have a say in *how* state standards are revised.
Scottsbluff was one of today's five locations, and teachers from Morrill, Hemingford and beyond were on hand.
Sixth grade teacher Robin Huff wants to know how possible changes could affect her classroom curriculum next year.
"Well with the changes in the standards, I want to know what would be expected at each grade level," explains Huff. "And with state testing coming with our social studies tests, I'm just looking at how that's going to affect me as a classroom teacher."
A second meeting will get underway at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. You can access that meeting by following this link: http://netdb.unl.edu/stream/nde.html
