Republican Senator Mike Johanns says there is a long list of issues that needs to be addressed before the end of the year.
His largest concern: the highly publicized 'fiscal cliff' and the abundance of tax cuts that are set to expire January 1st.
He says if Congress doesn't act, Americans will face the steepest single tax increase in American history. "No one should be fooled about this into thinking this will not affect the average middle income family," explains Johanns. "It does."
Johanns is concerned that the fiscal cliff could cause another recession and devastate our economy.
