A grand jury will convene following the death of a federal inmate being detained at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.
The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating the death of 42-year-old Dominic Geboe, of Casper, Wyoming. He was pronounced dead Friday at the hospital after correction officers found him hanging in a bathroom stall.
A grand jury must convene anytime a person dies while in custody.
Geboe was facing a life sentence after being indicted on eight sexual abuse charges, including sexual abuse of minors.
