Compliance Check reveals stores sale to minors

Posted: Updated:

A Scottsbluff business is caught selling alcohol to a minor after an undercover compliance check this weekend.

A clerk at big K-Mart in Scottsbluff checked the I.D. of a minor purchasing alcohol, but still sold the product.

K-Mart was the only non-compliant business out of 64 checked by area law enforcement.

Alcohol training courses put on by the State Patrol have helped Scotts Bluff become one of the best counties when it comes to denying alcohol sales to minors.

"But as a whole it also makes you aware of many of the outstanding laws, and ways to prevent youth from having access to alcohol."

This was the first time that big K-Mart was caught selling to minors during the semi-annual compliance checks.
