You may have seen the Christmas lights on Broadway last night were off.
But when 6:00 p.m. came around Broadway was lit up to the nines.
Scottsbluff's Christmas Parade of Lights is their annual way of starting off the holiday season.
Many families came out to brave the chilly weather and the cold didn't stop the kids from running to grab candy.
There were also special guests, the police and fire men, Miss Scottsbluff and of course, Santa Claus.
Brittany Eckerberg says she's been in the parade once and it's become some what of a tradition for her family to attend.
"Well I think it brings the community together, and it's so much fun for the little kids to get candy and to watch the lights go."
Eckerberg says the parade gears her family up to celebrate the holidays.
