Two Wyoming Senators are among a group of lawmakers who want to meet with President Obama to discuss their support of the Keystone XL Pipeline Extension.
Senator John Barasso and Max Baucus along with 16 other lawmakers signed a letter requesting a meeting.
TransCanada proposed the extension in 2008 and the president rejected the application because he said the deadline didn't allow for proper review.
Barrasso says energy projects such as this are important to the area because it can create much needed jobs.
