A local preschool sets its sights on building a new playground, thanks to a donation from a local foundation.
The Oregon Trail Community foundation presented kids first preschool with a 2,000 dollar check to help foot the bill for a new playground. Designers are to make this playground more suited for younger kids six months to two years old. Plans have been in the works for a while and Director Bobbi Neideffer is glad to see this dream a reality.
"Just for the children, a lot of playgrounds are made for older children and I wanted a playground that would be safer for six month olds on up to two year olds. They're crawling, they're transitioning into walking, some place that would be safe to play outdoors."
Neideffer says that the playground will be fully constructed in the next couple of months, in time for spring.
