Kiwanis selling Christmas trees for a good cause

Posted: Updated:

Christmas tree sales around the Panhandle are picking up.

The Kiwanis group is holding their annual Christmas Tree Sale.

The proceeds help provide scholarships to area youth.

The group has a large selection of trees this year from Idaho.

Volunteer Roger Russell expects this weekend to be their busiest thus far. Russell believes nothing compares to a real tree for the holidays.

"Of course the fake ones don't have the smell you know, when you work here you really notice the pine, the outdoor smell and you only get that from a real Christmas tree."

The group will be selling the trees outside Aulick's TLC until Christmas.
