Study shows Nebraska has lowest mortgage payments in country

A newly released report might encourage Nebraskans looking to buy a home.

According to LendingTree Nebraska homeowners on average, pay the lowest mortgage payments in the nation.

The company says Nebraskan's pay an average of 711 dollars a month for their mortgages.

Arkansas and Iowa are right behind Nebraska.

Champion Reality in Scottsbluff says for many people who currently rent, it makes sense to own a home because the monthly payments are sometimes very similar.

Hawaii and California are some of the states with the highest mortgages.
