Today brought some surprises to Gering's Santa's Village.
Santa brought along real reindeer and elves with him for the kids to meet.
And around the end of his visit there were even Christmas carolers.
The Gering Merchants take turns hosting the village each weekend.
But this weekend was special Amy Doll and Mitzi Cawthra say their businesses are more than excited to take part in the event.
"It is amazing, I can't believe the turnout we've already had. We started at ten and it's just after ten, and we're really going strong. Don Gable was able to get the reindeer and they are such a big attraction."
The reindeer will be headed back to the North Pole tonight.
