New information is released regarding a burglary at the Scottsbluff Pharmacy this weekend.
Scottsbluff police say the break in happened in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Captain Brian Wasson says the suspect broke a pane of glass in one of the pharmacy doors to gain entry. From there, more than one-thousand opiate pain killers were stolen.
Wasson says these types of pills are very dangerous for people who use them recreationally.
"It's very concerning to us," explains Wasson. "We've had cases in the region where overdoses occur on the type of drug that was taken. They're very powerful drugs."
The investigation is ongoing- and anybody with any information is asked to call the Scotts Bluff Communication Center or Crimestoppers at 632-STOP.
