C.A.P.W.N in need of food donations

Posted: Updated:

A KOTA Territory organization is counting on community members to display their generosity this season.

Mainstay food pantry workers say the need for food donations has gone up this year as well as applications for the program.

People interested in helping out can pick up lists from the food pantry or just drop off what they can give.

The Holiday Food and Gift Program is also in need of items.

Jennifer Rogers, the Director of the Community Bridges Department says the organization just doesn't have enough supplies to keep up with high demands.

"This is definitely a trying time for families, you know we're getting up to the end of the year here. Our heating bills are going up and maybe we're seeing some layoffs at businesses."

Rogers says the community has shown their stepping up and she hopes they're the gift that keeps on giving to others.
