The Senate unanimously passes the National Defense Authorization Act for 2013.
Senator Ben Nelson held a press conference this morning discussing Congress' lame duck session, the Fiscal Cliff and the passage of the N.D.A.A.
Not a single Senator objected to the passage of the law allowing the President to deploy the U.S. Military to arrest an American living in America on his own belief that the suspect poses a threat to National Security.
Senator Nelson says this passage is great news.
"So far the silver lining of this lame duck session is the National Defense Authorization Act for the Fiscal year of 2013 or the N.D.A.A as it's called."
This was the second time the annual Defense Spending Bill has passed unanimously.
