Scottsbluff High School's off Federal Persistently Low Achieving List

Posted: Updated:

One Panhandle school is off the Federal Persistently Low Achieving School List.

Scottsbluff High School kicked themselves off the list of low achieving schools after a big increase in its test scores and graduation rates.

The graduation rate is now at an 85% high.

Scottsbluff High's Principal Mike Halley says the raise is all thanks to the staff and students.

Halley says their summer school program, extra counseling and alternative schooling, has helped keep kids from dropping out.

Halley hopes the school continues to improve and isn't on the list next year either.
