People living in the valley come together to help those in need this holiday season.
Today, new and gently used toys, winter coats, and non-perishable food items were collected for First State Banks "Truck of Love" program.
Students from Roosevelt Elementary School were in charge of loading toys onto the truck. Those toys will be donated to in-need children across the valley.
The coats will be donated to the Lakota Lutheran Center, and the food will go to the "Valley Christian Neighbors in Need" program .
"Moments like this, we are very blessed and fortunate that there are such generous people in our community to give back," says First State Bank's Marketing Director Becca Tompkins. "And no matter what they do, they can touch they life of somebody else in their community."
Members with the Knights of Columbus will be wrapping the toys that were collected starting on Tuesday. Volunteers are needed on Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. to help wrap hundreds of presents.
