Pony Express delivers some of Santa's letters

The Pony Express is taking a road trip through the Panhandle.

Fans of the Pony Express are delivering hundreds of letters to Santa Claus the old fashioned way.

The Nebraska division of the Pony Express carried 500 letters from Gothenburg to Cozad to help get letters from children to the North Pole.

Riding horseback was the mode of transportation decades ago.

But Pony Express riders say they like being part of an effort to keep the tradition alive.

Each letter received a special Pony Express stamp.
