A man who led Dawes County law enforcement on a 36-hour manhunt is now in police custody.

Justin Pearse was found hiding in a hay bale on Bethel Road at 12:50 this afternoon.

He was on the run since Monday night, after the Sheriff's Department tried to serve an arrest warrant. Police had been searching for him since.

Sheriff Karl Dailey says his office was in contact with Pearse through a third party.

Pearse has a Utah warrant for his arrest for felony theft and fraud.

Information on the apprehension will be updated as it becomes available.
