State Treasurer Don Stenberg says a state sponsored college savings plan is the gift that keeps on giving.
Stenberg encourages parents and grandparents to open a 529 College Savings Plan through the Nebraska Educational Savings Plan Trust.
The trust offers four different college savings plans and more than 53,000 Nebraska families have saved with the plans.
Stenberg says the program has added a conservative, low costing investment option that doesn't fluctuate with the stock market's shifts.
