A Nebraska man serving two consecutive life sentences for a 1988 double murder is once again appealing a Nebraska Supreme Court decision.
Jeff Boppre filed notice this week in Scotts Bluff County District Court to appeal a final order denying him any post conviction relief or relief regarding his sentences.
Boppre has already lost numerous appeals to the Nebraska Supreme Court over the past two decades.
He was denied a request in April for continued post-conviction relief challenges in federal court.
Scotts Bluff County Attorney Doug Warner says Boppre's efforts are useless. "I mean he's been over and over this, explains Warner. "The same thing has been re-hashed. And he can always file something, but I don't see any chance that he's going to have any success."
Boppre was convicted for the murder of 25-year old Richard Valdez, and his girlfriend, 19-year-old Sharon Condon.
