A U.S. Senator is warning Nebraskans about a proposed change to State Representation.
Senator Mike Johanns says the change would directly affect equal State Representation throughout the country.
He warns the proposal would prevent individual voices from having any say and allowing the majority to run right over the minority, regardless of party lines.
Johanns says the proposal is bad for Nebraska, which has a small population compared to California or New York.
"If senators don't have the ability to go to the floor and offer their ideas through amendments, well then you don't have equal representation, in fact you don't have a voice," says Johanns.
Johanns says he doesn't expect ruling on the proposal to take place until the new year.
