A Panhandle organization hosts a Holiday Open House, in an effort to help more people learn about their family history.
The founder, Floyd Smith, says the center specializes in helping local people find information about their family tree, in addition to learning more about Nebraska's rich history.
"Our focus is on providing materials that people normally don't have access to or don't know they have access to for doing family history research on their family or another relatives family," says Smith.
The center is looking for more volunteers. You can stop by their building Monday through Saturday to find out more.
