People around the Panhandle gathered together last night to remember those lost in Friday's shooting.
Frank Park played host to a candlelight vigil where people gathered in silence. Organizers designed this event to take a moment to think about the tragedy in Connecticut and to show support. Amanda Halstead says that this tragedy hits home with millions of Americans, including her.
"I have two kids of my own so anytime something like this happens I think it kind of scares all of us with kids or without kids," says Halstead.
This vigil was just one of countless others happening across the country.
