Gering family builds memorial for shooting victims

Posted: Updated:

One Gering family is showing support for the victims of the Connecticut shootings on their front lawn.

Jody and Dave Radomski, along with their grandson built 27 crosses in remembrance of those lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School.    Crosses have either a blue or pink bow on them, representing the girls and boys.   There are also crosses with bigger bows, representing the adults.   She says it's important to let people in Connecticut know that people all across the country are thinking about them.

"I don't know what I would do if I was to lose my children like that and I can't honestly say I know what these people are going through, but I think anything can make it a little bit easier on them to know that, like I said, there are other people who care about these children," says Radomski.

Radomski invites anybody to stop by for a moment to remember.   Anything that is left at the crosses will be donated to the families of the tragedy.
