Employees at the Nebraska Public Power District could see a raise next year.
The utility's board approved spending over four million dollars on raises at its Friday meeting. The utility decided to go ahead with the raises to recognize how employees performed. Human Resources Manager Laurie Shilling says the raises will make sure NPPD remains competitive with other companies.
NPPD customers can expect to see their rates increase about 4 percent on average starting January 1st.
