Suspects named in October Chadron fire

The U.S. Fire Service has granted a Chadron newspaper's request and released the names of three men charged with starting a fire near Chadron in October.

27  year old Jacob Marshall and 26 year old William Jones each face federal counts of using an explosive and leaving the scene of a fire.

While 26 year old Andrew Meister is charged with leaving the scene.

The three men are accused of using exploding targets during shooting practice and one of the targets started the fire.

Each charge carries a penalty of up to six months in jail and a 5,000 dollar fine.

The men could also be responsible for the cost of fighting the fire, an estimated 175,000 dollars
