Area schools hold moment of silence in remembrance

Schools across the Panhandle today joined with the nation in a moment of silence, honoring the victims of last week's shooting.

Students and staff at Gering Junior High paused in a moment of silence to remember those lost.

Church bells were also heard echoing the streets of Scottsbluff, 26 rings representing each victim.

Gering Junior High students say it's important to remember those lost and be thankful this holiday season.
