Bayard High School is the recent recipient of a "gift of grain" thanks to a former coach.
Mr and Mrs Gerald Thompson made the gift by delivering a truckload of wheat to crossroads coop in Gurley. The grain was sold and proceeds from the sale will go directly to replacing a new track. Mr Thompson calls this project a very worthy one. The track is over forty years old and could cost as much as 450,000 dollars to complete.
Anybody interested in donating to this project can contact Bayard Public Schools.
