Wyoming community college students will have emptier pockets come next year.
Wyoming's seven community colleges will see a tuition raise.
The Wyoming Community College Commission approved a tuition rate increase of $4.00 per credit hour.
Full time tuition rates for resident students will increase by $96.00 in the 2013-2014 school year.
Nonresidents will also see their rates go up.
The increase comes with Matt Mead's recommendation for a 6% cut in state funding for community colleges.
Mead's proposal will be taken up by the Legislature next month when it's back in session.
