Box Butte General Hospital still on restricted visitation

Box Butte General Hospital continues its restricted visitations due to an early outbreak of the flu.

Mary Mockerman, the hospital's Director of Special Services, says they are seeing a steady number of patients in the emergency room with flu-like symptoms.

She says there is already more flu activity this year than in 20-11.

Mockerman says that people who are ill can still come to the hospital for treatment, but the ban on social visitors remains.

Saint Agnes Academy in Alliance shut down early for winter break due to a spike in flu-related illnesses.
