Holiday travelers in Nebraska get an unwelcome holiday surprise

Posted: Updated:

More than 100 plane passengers got an unwelcome holiday surprise.

A flight carrying 109 passengers from Denver to Kansas City made an emergency landing Christmas day in Omaha.

Southwest Airlines spokesman Paul Flaningan says a fuel valve issue prompted the crew to declare an emergency.

The Boeing 737 was sent to Omaha's Eppley Airfield and landed around 9:30 p.m. Christmas night.

Flaningan says the plane landed without incident.

Passengers boarded another plane and arrived in Kansas City two hours later than scheduled.
