Want to get your New Years resolution off to a kick start?
Well Scotts Bluff National Monument can help.
The National Monument is known for its beautiful views of the bluffs.
But it's also a great place to get a workout and burn some extra calories.
Saddle Rock Trail is more than one and a half miles with a little over a mile in elevation change, and it'll take you right to the top of the monument.
Park Ranger A.J. Legault says it's great for your calves and the switchbacks are a good place to do lunges.
"Hiking the monument is an excellent workout for people. We have the trails open for you to hike during New Years, if you want to come in and work off that turkey or ham, whatever you're having for dinner."
The monument's Visitor Center will be closed New Years day, but the parking lot and trails are still open.
