A seasonal-business took a big hit last year across KOTA Territory due to the lack of snow.
The snow-plow industry was close to idle one year ago.
The early part of the drought that plagued much of the Midwest was highlighted by an unseasonably warm winter.
Perry Crom, who owns a snow removal company in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, says he has been out more in December than all of last year combined.
"2011 was probably the worst year for snow removal," explains Crom. "So far this year we have removed snow three times, and we expect to get a little more this year than we did in 2011."
Crom says most of his employees have other jobs and *don't* rely on the income from the snow removal gigs.
However the business owner does feel the pinch financially when there's no snow to plow.
