With lots of Nebraskans up in arms about the new Keystone X.L. Pipeline, there's a new problem at hand for the state.
A Lancaster County District Judge is refusing the states request to dismiss a lawsuit filed last year.
Three landowners along the proposed route of the Keystone X.L. Pipeline filed the lawsuit in May.
The lawsuit says, the law passed in April, unlawfully delegated powers to the Governor that should be the Public Service Commission's.
The suit also says the law came after unconstitutional special legislation because it only benefits one company, Transcanada.
The pipeline would carry tar sands oil from Canada to Texas.
