One U.S. Senator will have some new responsibilities this year.
U.S. Senator Mike Johanns is now a part of the Senate Appropriations Committee.
Johanns announced he will also serve on the Senate Agriculture, Banking and Veterans Affairs Committees.
With new responsibilities Johanns has given up his spots on the Indian Affairs Committee and Environmental Public Works Committees.
Johanns says this helps his goals as a Senator to rein in spending, see a reformed Farm Bill and to help our military and veterans.
